Entries taken for Freshman Fall Final Four

East Rutherford, NJ — Entries for the lucrative Freshman Fall Final Four stakes were taken Tuesday (Nov. 13) at The Meadowlands. Both filly races, the Three Diamonds and Goldsmith Maid, required no elimination races; the Governor’s Cup a single elimination; and the Valley Victory two on Saturday (Nov. 17).

All of the finals, worth a combined $1.8 million, will be raced next Saturday (Nov. 24).

The 10 pacing fillies entered for the $391,250 Three Diamonds will go directly to the final and are listed in alphabetical order with nominated drivers and trainers:

The $469,300 Governor’s Cup drew 13 declarations. The conditions require that byes to the final be offered to the top money winners in descending order. The connections of Captain Crunch and Reigning Deo declined the bye and will race in a single $20,000 10-horse elimination race, with three colts to be eliminated from the final. Accepting the three offered byes were the connections of Blood Money, Semi Tough and Sugar Factory. Those three will join the seven moving successfully from the elimination race to next week’s final. The elimination winner will draw from posts one through six for the final.
