Enzio upsets at 9-1 in Meadows feature

Washington, PA – Enzio overpowered the leader near the three-quarters and went on to spring a 9-1 upset in Monday’s (Sept. 28) feature at The Meadows, a $10,800 Conditioned Trot.

Whats The Word, the 3-5 favorite, was parked through an opening quarter in :27.1, leaving him vulnerable late. When Chris Shaw sent Enzio first up from third, the favorite could offer no resistance. Enzio scored in a career-best 1:54.1, 1-1/4 lengths better than Foxy Trottin Stick, with Rising MVP third.
