Erma La Em was a head winner in the $22,500 Blossom Series leg on Wednesday at The Meadowlands.

Ron Pierce was in the sulky as the 3-year-old Cam’s Card Shark filly crossed the wire in 1:54.1, winning by a head over Cartniverous and Eric Goodell. Cheyenne Trish was third for Andy Miller.

The victory was the third in six season’s starts for Erma La Em, who was scratched sick from last week’s Blossom Series opener. Steve LeBlanc trains the winner of $32,839 in 2008.

Also on tap at The Meadowlands were a pair of $20,000 divisions in the Father Foley Trotting Series, with Ross Croghan training both winners.

The first division went to Lawman and driver Eric Goodell in 1:53.4. Owned by Let It Ride Stables, Robert Cooper Stables, and Shari Watchman, the 7-year-old Malabar Man stallion was a half-length winner over Lets Get Serious N (Yannick Gingras), with Ripped (John Campbell) finishing third.

In the second division, Lawrence Roman’s Swan Image posted a three length triumph for driver David Miller in 1:52.1. The 5-year-old Balanced Image stallion easily defeated Muscles Marinara (John Campbell), while Cayenne Turbo (Andy Miller) was third.
