by Mike Bozich, for Harrah’s Philadelphia
Chester, PA — Feeling Cam Lucky (George Napolitano Jr.) continued his winning ways on Sunday (May 6) in the featured event at Harrah’s Philadelphia.
Fitting under the non-winners of nine races portion of the condition, the 6-year-old gelding by the great sire Camluck picked up his third straight win for owner/trainer Gilbert Garcia-Herrera.
Starting from post seven, Feeling Cam Lucky floated out early, before pouncing on the leader to clear at the quarter (:26.3). He was dominant after that – turning away the first-over challenge of Gerard N Mo (Dave Miller) to win by an in-hand length in 1:49.4, a lifetime best. Emeritus Maximus (Tim Tetrick) finished second, while Hall Bro (Brett Miller) closed sharply after being shuffled to finish third.
It was career win nine for Feeling Cam Lucky. The victory puts him over $186,000 in career earnings.
