Saratoga, NY — Chili, a son of Credit Winner, lit upthe board Wednesday (July 18) at Saratoga Casino Hotel as the Gary Levine trainee pulledoff an upset paying $92.50 in the trotting feature. Chili was just one week removed from being the even-money favoritein the $9,000 feature for New York sired trotters when he was dismissed at oddsof 45-1.
Driver Brett Crawford moved Chili out to the early lead beforeyielding to rival All Night Credit. Chili closed on the inside in the stretch and got by to win in1:58.2 for his first victory of the year as the longest shot on the board inthe feature.
All Night Credit was disqualified from second after causinginterference in the stretch and was subsequently placed fourth. Mind Your Manners wound up earning the place spot while thefavorite Amazing Sevens came up third best.
Chili provided Levine with the first half of back-to-back wins onthe card as his Miss Neala Ridge (Billy Dobson in the bike) pulled off a mildupset in her non-winners of two lifetime trot.
