Field set for Grey Ghost and Poltergeist Pace at Pocono

Wilkes-Barre, PA — On a night that is typically named “Mischief Night,” the Grey Ghosts will take to the track at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono for the annual Grey Ghost and Poltergeist Pace. The race will consist of all grey horses, and it is quite the eerie sight to see. Tuesday (Oct. 30) will be a frightfully fun night at the track.

Making his sixth start in this Halloween pace is Gotta Love Him for trainer Cindy Weitoish. The 10-year-old veteran won this race in 2014 and 2015, and his owners are hoping that his first win this year will be by the light of the ghostly Halloween-eve moon. Matt Kakaley drives the popular gelding, who brings his own cheering section, from post one.

White Rolls won this race in 2016 with driver Jim Marohn Jr., and this year he will be driven by Pat Berry. Amanda Malone trains the 5-year-old.

Another returning “Grey Ghost” is White Bliss, who is snow-white in color and a true attraction to see. Ake Svanstedt trains the 6-year-old and Simon Allard picks up the drive.

Rounding out the field is Marc Mellow Man for Rob Harmon with Tyler Buter driving; and Gypsy Leather for William Adamczyk.

The horses are ready. The winner’s circle is decorated. There will be face painting starting at 5:30 p.m. and children can paint a pumpkin, so bring the kids. Plus, there will be free candy. Don’t miss this fun Halloween event. Post time for the night is 7 p.m. and the Grey Ghost and Poltergeist Pace is race four on the card.
