by Evan Pattak, for The Meadows
Washington, PA — Fox Valley Charm made it two straight Tuesday (May 1) at The Meadows with an impressive two-move victory in a career-best 1:51 in the $20,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace.
Saddled with post eight, Fox Valley Charm left alertly for Aaron Merriman and found a seat fourth. But the 6-year-old daughter of Yankee Skyscaper-Fox Valley Cherub didn’t stay settled long, moving first over and overpowering the field by 5-1/2 lengths. Camera Lady shot the Lightning Lane for second while Show Runner found late racing room to finish third.
Dirk Simpson trains Fox Valley Charm, who extended her career bankroll to $266,750, for Peter Karras.
Tony Hall collected three wins on the 13-race card.
