Earl Simon, who was boxed in most of the race, found racing room going into the last turn and down the stretch he managed to get by Oscar LA with Joakim Lövgren and Calle Crown with Ken Ecce.

The purse for the winner was 100,000 Euro.

Earl Simon is an 8-year-old horse who is trained by Jarmo Niskanen.

Niskanen, who has been a trainer in France for many years, was born in Finland, but his parents moved to Sweden when he was three. This was the first time Niskanen was back in Finland and at a racetrack.
