Exmore, VA — Funeral arrangements have been made for Bruce Munn, who died Jan. 25, 2011.
Mr. Munn dedicated much of his life to working in the harness racing industry. The funeral will be held at Doughty’s Funeral Home (3117 Main Street) in Exmore, Va., on Saturday (Jan. 28).
He resided in nearby Wachapreague, Va., after retiring from an eight-year stint as Racing Secretary at Harrington Raceway in 2006.
Mr. Munn also worked as the Racing Secretary at Suffolk Downs in 1971, while spending time as Program Director at Liberty Bell Park the same year. He then worked at Brandywine Raceway (1974-1976) and Monticello Raceway (1978-1988) in the capacity of Racing Secretary. In 1991, Mr. Munn spent a season as General Manager of Buffalo Raceway. During that year, he served as a USTA director.
Mr. Munn was a lifetime member of the North American Harness Racing Secretaries organization.
