Harrington, DE — Driver Brandon Givens, 18, won five races on Sunday (September 4) at Harrington Raceway to take the lead in the driver standings.
Givens, son of Seaford, Delaware-based horseman Leslie Givens, has 35 wins at the current meet, which leads Jim Morand by four victories. Givens guided Seboomook Warrior ($2.60), Torben ($7.60), Scootin Scholar ($3.20), Miss Cameo Please ($5.60) and Vested Hanover ($4.60) to victories.
In the third race, Elrita Annett, Sam Jacobs and Charlie Burris’ Ima Prince Too was victorious in 1:55. Driven by Ross Wolfenden for trainer Tim Crissman, the Cambest gelding set all the fractions and held off He’s Determined for a one length win. Ima Prince Too is a full brother to Cambest Prince, a top pacer who has earned nearly $800,000 lifetime.
Driver Hal Belote won three races on the program.
