This Week: Maywood Park Grand Circuit, Maywood Park, Melrose Park, Illinois
Schedule of events: The Grand Circuit at Maywood features four stakes on the Friday (Nov. 18) card. On tap will be the $225,000 (est.) Windy City Pace for 3-year-old colts, the $120,000 (est.) Abe Lincoln for 2-year-old colt pacers, the $100,000 (est.) Galt Memorial for 3-year-old colt trotters and the $75,000 (est.) Cinderella for 3-year-old filly pacers.
Last time: Yannick Gingras won three of the six American-National races this past Saturday (Nov. 12) at Balmoral Park. He piloted Foiled Again to the winner’s circle in the $175,000 event for older pacers, Looking Hanover in the $143,000 older trotting race and Princess Cruiser in the $86,800 2-year-old filly pace.
The other three American-National winners were Betterthancheddar and George Brennan in the $225,000 3-year-old colt pace; Swinging Beauty and Peter Wrenn in the $135,000 3-year-old filly pace; and Crime Of Passion and Marcus Miller in the $121,100 2-year-old colt pace final.

Grand Circuit Driving Standings: Dave Palone has the lead in the tight Grand Circuit driving standings with 29 victories. Tim Tetrick is in second place with 28 winners. David Miller is in third place with 27 triumphs. Yannick Gingras and Ron Pierce are tied for fourth place with 20 victories each. Brian Sears holds down sixth place with 13 wins. Jody Jamieson, Andy Miller and Ray Schnittker share seventh place, each with 10 scores. George Brennan, Brett Miller and Montrell Teague are tied for tenth place, each with seven wins.
Looking ahead: This is the final stop in 2011 for the Grand Circuit. The 2012 schedule will be released in January.
