Wilkes-Barre, PA — Grand Circuit Week will open on Saturday afternoon (July 7) at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs with nine divisions of the W.N. Reynolds Memorial Stakes.

Topnotch drivers, trainers and horses will be featured all week, as Grand Circuit Week will continue through Friday, July 13.

Scheduled to drive Saturday afternoon are John Campbell, Yannick Gingras, Dave Palone, Andy Miller, Tim Tetrick, the nation’s leading teamster, and Trond Smedshammer.

Saturday’s Reynolds races will have six divisions for 2-year-old colts and geldings on the trot and three divisions for 3-year-old pacing fillies. Those stake events carry purses of approximately $19,700 and $22,200 each.

Fans of harness racing will have the opportunity of seeing Lear Jetta, a 2-year-old Lindy Lane colt that is coming off a 17-1/4 length win in a Pennsylvania Sires Stake race at the Meadows with Robert Myers in the sulky. Time of that mile was 2:01.3. Myers trains and drives the colt that will be looking to go two-for-two lifetime.

Tetrick will be piloting Betting Machine in the first of three divisions of the 3-year-old filly Reynolds pacers. George Teague, Jr. trains this Bettor’s Delight filly who comes into the race with two wins in five starts. Her last race was the $250,632 James M. Lynch Memorial Final at Mohegan Sun at Pocono and she finished seventh with a 1:51.4 time.
