Columbus, OH — Two guaranteed pools are the wagering Highlights on the blockbuster 16-race closing night card on Saturday (Sept. 7) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
Following tradition, Scioto Downs will bring back the closing-night 20-cent Pick-8. The wager will begin in race seven and conclude in race 14, the $440,000 Jim Ewart Memorial. It will carry a $7,500 guaranteed pool in conjunction with The United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program.
There will also be an added Pick-4, starting in race 11 and concluding in race 14. It will carry a $5,000 guaranteed pool, again, in conjunction with The United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program.
Saturday’s card features eight $75,000 Ohio Sires Stakes consolations; two $75,000 events for older Ohio-sired pacers; the $220,000 Charlie Hill Memorial Trot, featuring three Hambletonian winners — Pinkman, Marion Marauder and Atlanta; and the $440,000 Jim Ewart Pace, highlighted by a rematch between Courtly Choice and Lather Up.
