Guaranteed wagers galore for Dan Patch Stakes Day at Harrah’s Hoosier Park

Anderson, IN — With both Thursday’s (Aug. 13) Pick-5 sequence and Hoosier High-5 wager going unsolved at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, those pools will be guaranteed at $15,000 and $30,000, respectively, on Friday (Aug. 14).

These guaranteed wagers will add to the already action-packed Dan Patch Stakes night, which will also feature a $25,000 guaranteed superfecta in the Dan Patch Stakes. Harrah’s Hoosier Park will offer the guaranteed wagers in partnership with the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program and the Indiana Standardbred Association.

A $15,000 guaranteed Hoosier High-5 was already set to go for Friday’s 15th race, but Thursday’s $8,481.05 carryover bumped that guarantee to an impressive $30,000. The $15,000 guaranteed Pick-5, starting with $2,257.54 in carryover money, will kick off in the Dan Patch Stakes in race 11.

Race 11 will also feature a $25,000 guaranteed superfecta pool.

Friday’s 15-race card will offer remarkable value to the horseplayer with full fields and competitive racing, with 11 races featuring 10 or more betting interests and total purses for the evening pushing the $500,000 mark.

Free past performances for Friday’s entire 15-race card will be available on Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s website, along with expert selections and other handicapping tools. Past performances for the Pick-5 sequence and the Hoosier High-5 wager will also be available on the United States Trotting Association website.

A field of 10 will be sent postward in the $225,000 Dan Patch Stakes. The 27th installment of Hoosier Park’s premier event will highlight the 15-race program that is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. As part of a special weekend tagged as “Dan Patch Festival Weekend,” Harrah’s Hoosier Park will showcase some of the most notable names in harness racing alongside specialty wagers, giveaways, food trucks and interactive family-friendly entertainment.

The 2020 live racing season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park will follow a Tuesday through Saturday schedule through Nov. 21. The season will be highlighted by the return of the Breeders Crown on Oct. 30 and 31. Daily post time is 6:30 p.m.
