Hambletonian Monte leg to be raced Friday

Pompano Beach, FL — A competitive group of seven start Friday (July 25) in the $10,000 non-wagering second leg of the Hambletonian Monte Series.

The race will follow race two on the regular Meadowlands program. 2014 Monte winners Flowing James (Tara Hynes), Tymal Oh So Nice (Heather Reese) and Truth In Action (Karen Isbell) lead the lineup. The final is slated for Friday evening (Aug. 1) of Hambletonian weekend with an estimated purse of $30,000.

Flowing James, a 9-year-old gelded son of Ilooklikemymom-Flowing Jody took a division of last week’s first leg in 2:00, defeating Bambino Hall and Tymal So Nice. Truth In Action finished fourth a week ago, timed in 2:00.4, to another division winner, Take My Picture, who scored in 1:58.1.
