Bold And Fresh, winner of the 2011 Hambletonian Oaks, has been sold to Norwegian interests and will be shipped to her new country within a couple of weeks.
In Norway she will be trained by Arild Eggen, who back in 1988 trained another winner of the Hambletonian Oaks, Fern, and who’s still the youngest trainer to have conditioned a winner of this prestigious event.
Eggen is now a trainer at Bjerke in Oslo; he returned from the United States in April 2009.
Bold and Fresh (by SJ’s Caviar-Odre Coucou) has a record of 1:53.1 and earnings of $627,997. In the United States she was campaigned by Doug Miller and George Brennan guided her to victory in the Hambletonian Oaks.
