Westfield, IN — The Harness Horse Youth Foundation has announced its 2007 camp schedule for the Level 1 events.

Harrington Raceway – June 24 to 28 – Harrington DE; Bangor Raceway – July 8 to 12 – Bangor ME; Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs – July 16 to 20 – Wilkes-Barre, PA; The Meadowlands – July 26 to 28 – East Rutherford NJ; and Saratoga Raceway – July 30 to August 3 – Saratoga Springs NY.

Level 1 camps are designed as an introduction to the excitement of racing. Young people from all experience levels and disciplines are sure to learn by attending this highly successful program. From basic horsemanship skills to about driving and equipment, this hands-on program is a 5 day/4 night summer camp. Participants must be between the ages of 11 and 13. Each location (except for The Meadowlands) will accept a total of 12 participants.

Potential applicants must submit an application form and essay addressing “The Wind In My Helmet – Why I Want To Feel The Thrills Of Driving A Horse!” Complete information and applications are available at www.hhyf.org.

Additional completed release forms and a registration fee of $100 must be on file before accepted applicants will be allowed to participate.
