Trois-Rivieres, QC – The Quebec Jockey Club announced Friday (April 30) that the Hippodrome 3R will begin its 2021 harness racing season next Friday (May 7).

Post time for the special opening day card will be 5:30 p.m. No spectators will be allowed to come to the track. COVID-19 protocols, the same as last season with no positive tests, will be enforced with all horse people and employees.

After the opening day Friday program, the Hippodrome 3R will return to its normal racing calendar with the next live date on Sunday (May 9) with post time at 1 p.m. Friday racing will resume on June 11. The race meet will run through Sunday (Nov. 7) for the 40-day season.

This Saturday morning the Hippodrome 3R will host 11 qualifying races starting at 11 a.m. The races will be live streamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Hippodrome3R with race calls by track announcer Guy Lafontaine. The race entries are available at www.standardbredcanada.ca/racing.
