HL Revadon rolls to Dover victory

Dover, DE — HL Revadon stormed to the front and did not look back in Tuesday’s (Nov. 22) $25,000 Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover, winning in 1:52.

Yannick Gingras and HL Revadon revved up the engines and sprinted quickly to the lead while Mississippi Storm settled into pocket position and 8-5 favorite Stormy Kromer left from the outside post seven and hustled to the three-hole.

HL Revadon buzzed the opening quarter in :26.3, maintained a two-length margin to the half in :56, and widened that lead to 2-1/2 lengths past three-quarters in 1:23.4. Stormy Kromer surged off the rail first-over but could not gain on HL Revadon, who drew away to win by six lengths. Mississippi Storm (driven by Victor Kirby) preserved second; JL Cruze (Art Stafford Jr.) was third.

Hall of Fame driver Tim Tetrick celebrated his 41st birthday by winning three races.

The Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, Nov. 23) card features the $250,000 Progress Pace, carded as the 12th race. Pebble Beach, I Did It Myway and Beach Glass all will do battle. Bally’s Dover will be dark on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 24) before racing resumes the following Monday (Nov. 28). Daily post time is 4:30 p.m.
