Hoof Beats salutes the Super Bowl

Harness racing and football seem to have a bond.

The late Minnesota Vikings owner John Skoglund owned horses and named them everything from Tagliabue to Double Coverage. Super Bowl was, of course, one of our greatest race horses and sires. Most recently Atlanta Falcons linebacker Demorrio Williams has entered the ownership game, joining former wide receivers Wayne Chrebet of the New York Jets, while wide receiver Tony Kimbrough of the Denver Broncos has become a trainer, driver and owner.
