from the Hoosier Classic Sale Company
Middlebury, IN — Catalogs for Hoosier Classic Sale Company’s 2011 Yearling Sale, to be held Thursday (October 13) through Saturday (October 15), are now available.
Hoosier Classic is offering its largest catalog ever, with more than 600 Indiana-sired yearlings consigned by some of the state’s top consignors, to be sold over three sessions at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Interested buyers can request a catalog via the sale website, www.hoosierclassicyearlingsale.com.
The website also features yearling videos and up-to-the-minute pedigrees utilizing Standardbred Canada’s TrackIT technology. Using this technology, pedigrees reflect updates from purse races conducted throughout North America, with any updates since August 15, 2011, shown in pink.
“Through our partnership with Standardbred Canada, Hoosier Classic is able to provide the most up-to-date information, benefitting both consignors and buyers,” said sale manager Steve Cross. “We are selling brothers and sisters to recent Indiana Sires Stakes finals winners, and the TrackIT technology allows us to offer pedigrees that include those significant updates.”
Buyers can get an early look at consignments during the “Classic Preview” slated for Wednesday (October 12) from 6-9 p.m. The 2011 sale will kick off its first session October 13 at 1 p.m., with 214 yearlings cataloged. Hips 215-414 will be sold October 14 beginning at 9:30 a.m. The balance of the catalog will be sold October 15 starting at 9:30 a.m.
