Dover, DE — Hopefull N enjoyed a perfect trip on the way to a 1:53.1 victory in the $27,500 Mares Open Handicap Pace, while All About Winning won the $23,000 Mares Jr. Open on Tuesday, April 3, at Dover Downs.

Riddlemethat and Corey Callahan cut out the pace from the start and had a one length lead entering the stretch. Then Brandon Givens asked Hopefull N for her best step and the Totally Ruthless 6-year-old closed with a rush to overtake the leader for a 1:53.1 win by 1-3/4 lengths. Yada Yada Yada A, last at the three-quarters, came on strongly for Ross Wolfenden to take second in front of Riddlemethat.

The victory was the fifth in eight starts with a second and a third for the recent import owned by Preston Walls, Chad Tate and Steve Daugherty, and was one of two for the day for young Givens.

All About Winning broke a series of three consecutive second place finishes in the $23,000 Mares Jr. Open. Tim Tetrick, who added two more wins to his North American and track leading win total, drove All About Winning into the lead after the opening panel and coasted to a 1:51.4 career fastest win for owner Charles Nitkowski. Ain’t Goin Back with Ben Stafford, Jr. raced second for most of the mile and finished there, with Casino Bus and Jim Morand third.
