Harrington, DE — The exacta payout in Tuesday’s (Sept. 20) 13th race at Harrington Raceway certainly lured the attention of bettors as a $2 ticket on the winning 2-8 combination paid $6,826.40.

Vince Copeland’s A Rocknroll Bus, sent off at 49-1, prevailed in a narrow photo over 32-1 long shot Bettor Country to make for the sizeable exacta payout. No one successfully selected all three finishers (2-8-6) in the trifecta, forcing a rare uncovered payout in that wager.

A Rocknroll Bus, who paid $100.40 to win, was one of two triple-digit win payouts on the card as Rich Borowsky’s Clean Up Hitter ($100.40, Borowsky) triumphed in the ninth race.

Drivers Montrell Teague and Ross Wolfenden had three wins apiece on the card; Art Stafford Jr. and Russell Foster each had a double.

Live racing at Harrington will continue on a Monday-through-Wednesday schedule until Oct. 19.
