from Sugar Valley Farm
Delaware, OH — Sugar Valley Farm, in conjunction with George Teague and Elmer Fannin, have announced that I’m Gorgeous will be joining the Sugar Valley Farm stallion roster for the 2012 breeding season.
I’m Gorgeous p,2,1:50.4; 3,1:50q, 1:50.2h ($573,722) is a multiple stakes-winning son of Bettor’s Delight and is out of the stakes-winning dam Joy p,4,1:53.3f ($536,237).
At two, I’m Gorgeous won four of eight starts, including victories in the Tompkins-Geers, New York Sire Stakes, and an elimination of the Woodrow Wilson, where he established a freshman record of 1:50.4.
At three, I’m Gorgeous butted heads with one of the best crops of sophomores in recent history, which included Rock N Roll Heaven and One More Laugh. His victories that year included a $200,000 division of the Battle of the Brandywine, as well as eliminations in two legs of Pacing’s Triple Crown. He captured his elimination of the Cane Pace over Freehold Raceway’s half-mile oval in 1:50.4 and his Little Brown Jug elimination in 1:50.2. In the Jug final he was race-timed in 1:49.4 when he finished second to Rock N Roll Heaven in a world record clocking. He also performed well on larger tracks, as he finished second that year in his Meadowlands Pace elimination. In the final of the Meadowlands Pace one week later, I’m Gorgeous was race-timed in 1:48.2 while finishing fifth.
I’m Gorgeous will be standing his first season at stud in 2012 with an introductory fee of $3,000. Ashlee’s Girl, a half-sister to Breeders Crown champion Betterthancheddar, has already been booked to his court of mares.
