Indianapolis, IN — The Indiana Horse Racing Commission will be meeting on Wednesday (Dec. 6) in the History Reference Room 211 at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis. The meeting will commence at 10 a.m. (EST) and is open to the public for attendance.
On the agenda for the year-end meeting includes:
- Hearing on the 2018 renewal applications for the Indiana Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association, Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana, Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, and the Indiana Standardbred Association as registered horsemen’s associations.
- Consideration of Settlement Agreement in the matter of Joe Davis v. IHRC Staff
- Consideration of Settlement Agreement in the matter of IHRC Staff v. Roy Moore
- Review of Indiana Grand’s (Centaur Acquisition, LLC) permit of renewal application and consideration of pari-mutuel permit and consideration of Indiana Grand’s request for live racing dates for 2018.
- Consideration of emergency rules, including those pertaining to threshold levels (QH), bleeding from nostrils, selection of horses tested, Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), etc.
- Presentation of 2018 programs by the Standardbred Development Advisory Committee, Standardbred Advisory Board, Thoroughbred Breed Development Advisory Committee, and the Quarter Horse Breed Development Advisory Committee.
- Discussion regarding Caesar’s pending acquisition of Hoosier Park Racing and Casino and Indiana Grand Racing and Casino.
- Announcement regarding commission review of ARCI expanded out-of-competition testing rule over the winter for possible adoption prior to the start of the 2018 race meet.
The meeting is open to the public and all are invited to attend.
