Northfield, OH — Auction items are rolling in for the 2007 Northfield Park Horsemen’s Emergency Fund Auction, but more are needed.

The event is scheduled to take place Wednesday, May 2, in the paddock at Northfield Park at 6:00 p.m. Entertaining auctioneer Jeffrey Otto will provide the selling duties with numerous high ticket items promising to be bargain buys.

Slated to be auctioned will be Ohio State and Tiger Woods sports memorabilia along with Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavalier playoff tickets. An Amish-made hickory rocker and oak high chair are to hit the auction block, along with many other Amish-made goods. Numerous never opened designer perfume sets have also been donated.

For those thinking along the gastronomical line, Amish-made baked goods and local horsemen’s culinary submissions promise to be big sellers. Two halves of a butchered hog, along with processing, will be sold.

Equine related goods and services, including hay, straw and equipment will be offered up.

Bow River has donated a $500 gift card that along with a $500 valued Amish-made recliner will be raffled to lucky winners.

Tickets are on sale now for $1 or 12 for $10.

To donate an item or to purchase raffle tickets, please contact Amy Hollar at (614) 778-5905 or e-mail hollarohha@aol.com.

The public is invited to the auction, but horsemen and their families are encouraged to come out and support the fund, which has helped numerous horsemen over the years.
