Janice Watkinson, 75, dies

Columbus, OH — Janice Watkinson, 75, of Camden, Del., died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family,  on July 17, 2022.

She was born July 27, 1946, in Dover, Del., to the late John and  Flossie (Comegys) Laramore.

She worked in the cafeteria for the Caroline County Public School System from 1986-2000.

Mrs. Watkinson also owned and groomed her own horses, and was a member of the Delaware Standardbred Owners Association and the USTA. She loved to watch her horses race.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing games on the computer, and watching Game Show Network. But her favorite was playing the game Sorry with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ben; son, Eddie (Janet) Davis Jr.; daughter, Penny (Tim) Boyd; step-daughter, Jean (Thomas) Dorr; brother, Marty Laramore; granddaughters, Brittany (Wes) Brady and Laci (Jason) Stubb; grandsons, Eric Davis and Timothy Boyd; great-granddaughters, Ava, Emma and Gwen; and great-grandsons, Jason and Max. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Laramore Jr.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday (July 22) in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE, where family and friends may view two hours before.
