Lexington, KY — Kentucky Fair racing moves to Red Mile Friday (July 26) for the Mercer County Fair with post time scheduled for 4 p.m. and 78 horses entered.

The Kentucky sired or bred starters will feature several undefeated stars on the Kentucky Fair circuit. Two of these undefeated stars, Forever Jesse and Vintage Candy, are both trained by Philip Cotton and co-owned by the partnership of Dudley Thompson and David Arboe. Cotton also shares ownership on Vintage Candy, while Tracye Huber is the third owner of Forever Jesse.

Forever Jesse, a 3-year-old colt trotter by Jailhouse Jesse, boasts a mark of 2:00h and $15,000 to show for his efforts in six starts so far in 2018. Vintage Candy, a 2-year-old pacing filly by Vintage Master, also has made six starts in the Kentucky Fair program and has bankrolled $15,000 with a mark of 2:00h.

Jax Reddy, a freshman trotting colt by Dejarmbro, will be making his Red Mile debut as an undefeated starter through the fair program. With five wins in as many starts and $12,500 in earnings, the Jack Gray Jr. owned and trained starter took a mark of 2:04.2h at Paducah when he distanced the field.

A full brother and sister will be appearing on the Friday afternoon card, both making impressive starts through the fair program. Delight Kate, a 3-year-old pacing filly by McArdle, is coming off her most recent win last week in 2:01 by three lengths at Lebanon. Owned and trained by Pasko Vucinaj, the sophomore filly took a mark of 1:59h at Paducah and has earned $23,857 in 2019.

Her 2-year-old full brother, Mc Cam, stunned the field of 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings last week at Lebanon, by shaking loose late in the stretch to win by a head in 2:06. The Jack Gray Jr. trained freshman is owned by Russell Hundley. He has made three starts on the fair circuit to date with two wins and a second.

The 2019 Kentucky Fair program features seven county fair events racing for a purse of $5,000 each race with Fair finals in each division scheduled to race Saturday (Aug. 3) at Red Mile.
