Columbus, OH — A medical expense fund to benefit long-time Indiana horseman and USTA Director Jerry Landess has been set up on the gofundme website at www.gofundme.com/r762jh2j.
Landess, who is suffering from significant health issues, has been a fixture in harness racing in Indiana for many years and has been a leading ambassador for the sport there as well as a member of the USTA Board of Directors for nearly 30 years.
In addition to the gofundme fundraiser online, there will be a public auction held this Sunday (April 12) at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland, Ind., starting at 1 p.m. to raise additional money to offset medical expenses for Landess. The auction will include a truck, trailer and a wide assortment of horse equipment.
Standardbred owner Gary Loy will conduct the auction. For further information, contact either Gary Loy at 260.726.5160 or Greg Runyon at 260.251.1933.
