The Feb. 15 deadline is drawing near for many stakes payments. Below are a list of notices that have recently been submitted to the USTA Newsroom. The following information regarding upcoming stakes payments is not meant to be a complete list of every required stakes payment. It is a list of only those notifications that have been provided directly to the USTA for posting here. For more information on payments, click here.
Massachusetts stake payments due Feb. 15
Plainville, MA — Owners and trainers of horses eligible for the Massachusetts Breeder Stakes should take note that the 2025 continuation and sustaining payments for all 2- and 3-year-old contenders are due and should be postmarked by Saturday (Feb. 15).
The 2-year-old payment is $100 (and must be made in order for the horse to remain eligible as a 3-year-old) and the 3-year-old payment is $150. If there has been a change of name or ownership, please submit a copy of the registration certificate at the same time.

Woodbine stakes nominations due Saturday
MIlton, ON — Woodbine Entertainment would like to remind all owners and trainers that the deadline for nominations to the 2025 major stakes at Woodbine Mohawk Park is Saturday (Feb. 15).

If sending payments by mail, envelopes must be clearly postmarked no later than Feb. 15 or payment will not be accepted. Registered mail is recommended.

Delaware, Ohio Grand Circuit payments due
Delaware, OH — Sustaining payments for the Little Brown Jug (Grade 1) and the other Grand Circuit events — Jugette (3-year-old filly pace – Grade 1), Old Oaken Bucket (3-year-old open trot – Grade 3) and the Buckette (3-year-old filly trot – Grade 3) — are due Feb. 15. These payments are for foals of 2022.
The sustaining payments are as follows: Little Brown Jug ($750), Jugette ($500), Old Oaken Bucket ($500) and Buckette ($400).
Three-year-old pacers not eligible after Feb. 15 may, with a payment of $45,000, supplement to the Little Brown Jug.
The Little Brown Jug, Old Oaken Bucket and Buckette will be raced Thursday (Sept. 18) and the Jugette on Wednesday (Sept. 17).
The 2025 Delaware Grand Circuit meet will feature five days of racing (Sept. 14 through Sept. 18).

Meadowlands stakes payments due
East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands stakes payments begin in February and with the payment date falling on a weekend and then a holiday, payments with a postmark of Feb. 18 will be accepted as per regulation.

Stakes information for the Red Mile
Lexington, KY — Sustaining payments are due for 3-year-olds for the Kentucky Futurity, Tattersalls Pace and Bluegrass at The Red Mile. Also, nominations for the Nadia Lobell, Moni Maker and Allerage Farm Opens are also due, which is a change from previous years.
Do to the payment date falling on a weekend and then a holiday, payments with a postmark of Feb. 18 will be accepted as per regulation.

Maryland staking payments due
Ocean Pines, MD — Sustaining forms and payments for 3-year-olds (foals of 2022) are due Feb. 15 to the Maryland Standardbred Fund and the Maryland Sire Stakes with a fee of $300.
Do to the payment date falling on a weekend and then a holiday, payments with a postmark of Feb. 18 will be accepted as per regulation.
All stallion pedigrees, staking forms, and stake dates are now available online including a printable calendar. Please use our website (www.msrfonline.com) for all your current MSRF info and any updates as they become available.

Three-year-old DSBF payments due Feb. 15
Harrington, DE — The $300 payment is due Feb. 15 for any Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund eligible 3-year-old.
The April 15, 2024 (or June 1, 2024 late payment) must have been made as a 2-year-old to be eligible as a 3-year-old in 2025.
If using the USPS, please use a service with a tracking number. All payments must be postmarked by Feb. 15.
Credit cards are an acceptable payment through the online portal on the DSBF website. Owners can make multiple payments on horses in one transaction.

As of Feb. 3, the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund office has moved from the Delaware Department of Agriculture to Harrington Raceway and Casino. If you need to make an appointment to drop off a payment, please call in advance.
