Last chance for SRF golf outing

Hamilton, NJ — There are just a few spots available for The Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s (SRF) 16th annual Charity Golf Tournament on May 12, 2008 at beautiful Knob Hill Country Club in Manalapan, New Jersey.The popular outing is almost completely sold out, so hurry and reserve your tee-time today.

All proceeds benefit the SRF, the oldest, most productive, award-winning program that finds homes for non-competitive Standardbreds and ensures their lifelong care. SRF also reaches out to children at risk through its after school Youth in Focus Program and to incarcerated teenagers within the Juvenile Justice System. Whether you love pacers or putters, come out and support SRF!

The cost per player is $225 and includes greens fees, cart, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner. The Hole in One Prize is a Jaguar, provided by Bergen Jaguar of New Jersey. Tickets for the cocktail hour, dinner, the auction and raffle are $50.

The golf outing is followed by a cocktail hour and dinner with a charity auction and raffle. The top auction prize is a customized Advantedge Pro 2 Evolution Race Bike generously donated by Tom Harmer. Also included in the auction is a Pennsbury Sports Trainer jog cart.

Of special interest to harness racing fans should be a first edition copy of the book “Crazy Good,” about the life and times of the immortal Dan Patch, signed by author Charles Leerhsen. Crazy Good goes on sale May 20.

There are numerous other items available in both the auction and the raffle.
