Lexington, KY — The catalog for the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale is now available on the company’s website, www.lexingtonselected.com, and on the Equineline Sales Catalog app for the iPad. Print catalogs will be emailed next week.
There are 595 yearlings set to go through the auction ring from Tuesday (Oct. 4) through Saturday (Oct. 8) at Lexington’s Fasig-Tipton Pavilion, with sessions beginning each night at 7:00 p.m.
Featured are large selections by leading sires at their respective gaits. Muscle Hill will be represented by 54 yearlings and Somebeachsomewhere by 40.
The bullish Lexington sale posted a double-digit increase in average two years ago, and was up from that number last year. Sale managers Randy Manges and David Reid said they expect it to remain just as strong this year, thanks in part to the continuing success of sale graduates and “in-demand” pedigrees in the catalog.
Graduates of the sale swept trotting and pacing’s premier events this year, with Marion Marauder and Southwind Frank finishing first and second in the Hambletonian and Control The Moment winning the Meadowlands Pace.
As always, the Lexington Selected Sale will coincide with the second week of Grand Circuit racing at Red Mile, which culminates with the Kentucky Futurity on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 9).
Those not already on the mailing list who would like a catalog may click here and fill out the catalog request form, or call the Lexington office at (859) 255-8431.
