Linda Toscano to be keynote speaker at USTA Standardbred Driving School

from the United States Trotting Assn.

Columbus, OH — Linda Toscano will be the keynote speaker when the 2013 class of the USTA Driving School gathers at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y., on May 29.

“Linda is a great trainer and also a great person,” said school head Chip Hastings, “She had an outstanding year in 2012 and it will certainly be of interest to the students to hear her insight into training and racing.”

Linda Toscano will be the keynote speaker at the 2013 USTA Driving School.

Toscano enjoyed her most successful campaign ever in 2012. She was the trainer of the Harness Horse of the Year (Chapter Seven), the richest Standardbred racehorse of 2012 (Market Share at just over $2 million), and the champion of the sport’s glamour division (3-year-old pacing colt Heston Blue Chip). She capped her extraordinary season by being the overwhelming choice of the U.S. Harness Writers Association voters as the Glen Garnsey Trainer of the Year.

“I pinch myself every single day that I get to earn a living playing with horses,” said Toscano. “I don’t feel like it’s a job, I feel like I get to go to work having fun every single day. I am who I am because of the animal. I hope I can continue to give back and give this feeling to somebody else and let them know just how special a creature they are.”

If you are interested in owning, training or driving Standardbreds, or you are simply a fan of harness racing, we urge you not to miss this once in a lifetime experience.

The 15th annual USTA Driving School will be held in Goshen, N.Y., May 29–June 2. Sign up now while there is still space available!
