Live racing returns to Scioto

Columbus, OH — Live racing returns to Eldorado Scioto Downs with opening week racing to be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 12-14). First post will be 3:15 p.m. each day. Grandstand construction is underway, so those wishing to watch live racing will park near and enter at the clubhouse on the south side of the property.

“The clubhouse will be open each live racing day,” said Jason Roth, Scioto’s Director of Racing. “Reservations will be taken but must be pre-paid for Saturdays when there will be a Clubhouse buffet.”

Due to limited seating, reservations are encouraged for the clubhouse. On race day, unreserved tables will be available on a first come-first seated basis. Saturday reservations will require pre-payment of $39.99 per seat and includes the buffet, program and soft drinks. Reservations can be made by calling 614.295.4756.

Patio seating in front of the clubhouse will be available with a new bar and additional seating added on the south end of the clubhouse.

Simulcasting will continue to be on the main level of the clubhouse.

The winner’s circle is closed due to the construction of a temporary judge’s stand. For the 2022 racing season, photos will be taken on the track at the south end of the clubhouse; a new gate has been installed just before you get to the walkway going to the paddock.

The 90-day live racing season will start on Thursday (May 12) and continue through Saturday (Sept. 17). All live racing days will have a 3:15 p.m. first post. A complete racing schedule can be found here.
