East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands is back!
Live racing returns on Saturday (Nov. 4) with the start of the Fall/Winter meet beginning with a 13 race card. Racing will continue each Saturday through the month of November.
Opening Day coincides with Breeders’ Cup Saturday, so fans will be treated to a day-long extravaganza of horse racing action complete with a premium buffet in the tiered dining room, Pink.
Saturday is the launch of an exciting new Survivor Pick 10 wager which begins with the first race and continues until there is a single ticket with all winners and that lucky ticket holder will win the entire pool each night, less the low takeout of 15 percent. The wager has a 20-cent minimum and is available off track as well as on.
Featured on the opening day card are the four finals of the Kindergarten Classic for combined purses of more than $700,000 as races five, seven, eight and 10 on the program. The well matched fields are filled with talented freshman fillies and colts, many of whom will return in the upcoming $1.2 million Freshman Fall Final Four stakes coming up later this month.
Check out The Meadowlands website for further information including free program pages (courtesy of TrackMaster) for the full card and Dave Brower’s Race Reviews.
Post time is 7:15 p.m.

Trainer Erv Miller hopes for a strong 1-2 punch in Saturday’s (Nov. 4) $214,900 Kindergarten Series championship for 2-year-old male trotters, especially now that Tito seems to have reached better form after battling sickness. Miller sends out Tito and series-points-leader Farsetti Hanover in Saturday’s 10-horse final at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J. Tito and driver Andy McCarthy will start from post five while Farsetti Hanover and driver Marcus Miller will leave from post one.

- Pinske hopes ‘North’ points to Kindergarten win (Wednesday, November 01, 2017)

Points North is the 7-2 second choice on the morning line in Saturday’s (Nov. 4) $150,000 Kindergarten Series championship for 2-year-old male pacers at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J. He will start from post six with Andy McCarthy driving for trainer Richard “Nifty” Norman.
