Logue to be featured on radio show in Peoria

Columbus, OH — Jann Logue, author of the Standardbred children’s book “Roll On Buddy,” will be featured on an hour long radio broadcast on Wednesday, April 9.

It will be on the farm show from 12:00-1:00 p.m. (CDT) on 1290am WIRL out of Peoria, Ill. The show will feature a live broadcast from her father’s farm (Robert Fox in Washington, Ill.) where Standardbreds are trained. The radio station covers a huge area throughout central Illinois.

Charlyn Fargo, the Bureau Chief of county fairs and horse racing from the Illinois Department of Agriculture in Springfield will be joining Logue.

They plan on covering the following topics:

  • Promoting the beneficial relationship between agriculture and harness racing.
  • Times, dates, and invitations for the public to attend some county fairs this summer close to Peoria.
  • Making the public aware of the pending legislation which supports harness racing.
