Lying In Cash repeats in Open 1 Pace at Northville Downs

Northville, MI — Lying In Cash (Aracache Hanover–Jokerslitlwhitelie) staved off a plethora of challengers to capture a repeat victory Friday night (May 6) in the $10,800 Open 1 Pace at Northville Downs in a 1:55.1 score.

Driver Jason Merriman left hard off the car with Lying In Cash over rival Quality Closer in an opening quarter of :26.4. They came under heavy pressure at the half as driver Marc St. Louis Jr. popped the pocket with Quality Closer to challenge the leader until tiring late going into the stretch.

While a blanket could have been thrown over the field at the head of the lane, Lying In Cash prevailed for career victory number 21. Lying In Cash is trained by Scott Galloway for owner Techia Lohmann.

Another impressive winner on the card was My Friend Mel (Rockin Amadeus–Age Of Consent) who scored in race six in wire-to-wire fashion in 1:56 by 3-3/4 lengths for driver Chris Presley and owner/trainer Judy Roegner.

Northville Downs will race its next live program Friday (May 13). First race post time remains 7:30 p.m. each race night.
