Some Royalty was one of two horses from the Mac Donald stable to capture Thursday’s features at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Mac Donald’s stable star thus far this season has been Some Royalty (RC Royalty) and on Thursday, the 4-year-old mare won for the sixth consecutive time.
Prevailing in her final start of 2016, Some Royalty moved her seasonal record to five-for-five on Thursday as she recorded another win in the $8,030 co-feature for New York-sired trotters.
Leading driver Billy Dobson piloted Some Royalty to the 1:59.1 victory.
Mac Donald’s Cash N Chrome (Cash Hall) tracked down the favorite in his division of the co-featured trot with Kim Crawford in the sulky.
Dobson was looking to sweep the co-features as he sat behind the favored Trotamundo, who was seeking his fourth win of the year, but Cash N Chrome reeled that one in in the final strides to prevail in 2:00.3 on a cold, windy day in the Spa City on Thursday to complete the sweep for the Mac Donald stable.
Live racing continues on Friday evening at Saratoga with a 6:45 p.m. first post.
