Manalapan, NJ — Market Share extended his unbeaten streak to five and the filly All In The Muscles beat the boys in their respective $25,000 divisions of the New Jersey Futurity for 2-year-old trotters on Friday (Oct. 14) at Freehold Raceway.
Market Share, a son of Revenue S-Classical Flirt, coasted to a 7-1/2 length victory, wire-to-wire, in the second division, the sixth race, with Jeff Gregory at the lines of the Linda Toscano trainee. Chocolatta De Vie (by Chocolatier) was second while Vic Smith (by Yankee Glide), who broke at the start, rallied to finish third by 8-1/2 lengths. The mile was clocked in 1:59.1.
Market Share, who swept his first four career starts in the New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres series, has now banked $36,250 for owners Richard Gutnick and Gary Cocco.
In the first division, the first race, All In The Muscles (Muscles Yankee-Edith’s Chip) was a three-quarter length winner over Purple Rain in 2:02. The two daughters of Muscles Yankee were the only fillies in the six-horse field. It was three lengths back to TG Rev (by Revenue S) in third.
All In The Muscles, driven by Andy Miller and trained by Julie Miller, picked up her second win in four starts. She races in the name of the Andy Miller Stable, Marc Moger and Albert Delia, Jr. Her bankroll hit $18,000 with the victory.
