Plainville, MA — A very busy New England harness racing season gets underway in two weeks when Plainridge Racecourse opens its 2007 season. The Massachusetts Racing Commission would like all horsemen to know that the commission office at Plainridge is currently open Monday thorugh Friday from 9:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. to help expedite the licensing process for 2007. License applications are also available for download from the Plainridge website at www.prcharness.com.
Plainridge Racecourse opens its 2007 season on Monday, March 19. Throughout March, April and May Plainridge Racecourse will conduct live racing each Monday and Tuesday, with a 4:00 p.m. post time. Beginning in June the track will add Thursdays to its schedule, with the same 4:00 p.m. post.
The first qualifying races of the season will be held on Monday, March 12 and Thursday, March 15 at 12:00 Noon.The Plainridge racing office will re-open on Friday, March 9 and a double draw for the season’s first two cards will take place on Thursday, March 15.
