McDazzle fights back, wins third straight at Meadows

Washington, PA — Fighting back when it looked as though she might be passed down the backside, McDazzle reasserted in the lane and captured her third straight victory in Tuesday’s (Oct. 30) $20,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Touchamatic challenged McDazzle first-over and got her head in front. But when Dave Palone asked McDazzle for more, the 4-year-old daughter of Art Official and Dream McQueen delivered it and downed the game Touchamatic by a length in 1:52.2. With her show finish in the Lightning Lane, Barley Nation vaulted over $100,000 in career earnings.

Ron Burke trains McDazzle, who lifted her lifetime bankroll to $156,806, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. It was one of three wins for Palone on the 13-race card.
