Ft. Washington, MD — McGwire Sowers became the second 18-year-old driver to pick up his first pari-mutuel win at Rosecroft Raceway this meet, winning an air tight photo with Terem Up Louie in race three on Sunday (March 11).
Sowers joins DeClan Donoway as first-time winners at Rosecroft.
Yippi Ki Yo was the tough luck loser for driver John Wagner who manufactured a lead after being parked through the opening quarter leaving from post eight. Sowers brushed his 9-year-old son of Rambaran three-wide off the final turn and just got up for the victory. Terem Up Louie paid $27.00 and won the race in 1:54.4.
Frank Milby won three races on the card, with Boot Leg ($7.00), Hare Force One ($14.80) and Abelard Hanover ($7.00). Jonathan Roberts won a pair with Fashion Smile ($2.60) and Captain Jeremiah ($13.00). Trainer John Hollingsworth had a training double.
