East Rutherford, NJ — One lucky horseplayer will have plenty of extra dough for the holiday shopping season after taking down the Jackpot Super High Five wager at the Meadowlands for $20,020.22 on Saturday (Dec. 3).
The winning ticket was purchased through the Oregon Hub.
The 20-cent wager requires a horseplayer to correctly select the top five finishers in order. The jackpot amount pays out only if there is a single winning ticket.
Saturday’s winning wager featured a carryover of $11,423. The winning sequence of 4-2-3-10-5 was led by 2-1 favorite Mr. Blissful followed by 73-1 Seafood Mike, 5-1 Some Power, 52-1 Amora Beach, and 6-1 Brown Color in fifth.
This is the second time in the past three weekends that the fifth race Jackpot Super High-Five has been hit. A horseplayer in Iowa took down the jackpot for $13,395 on Nov. 11.
The last race Jackpot Super High Five has not been claimed since the season began in Sept. Entering Saturday, the last race jackpot sat at just less than $50,000.
