East Rutherford, NJ — An abundance of upsets over the weekend produced a $33,819 Pick 4 carryover heading into the Wednesday night (March 12) card at the Meadowlands.

Offered nightly on races six through nine, the Pick 4 features a low 15 percent takeout and nightly guaranteed pools ($25,000 Wednesday–Friday and $50,000 Saturday). The last Pick 4 carryover at the Meadowlands was $25,611 on December 13, 2007, which fueled a pool of $98,845 and payoff of $1,218.50.

The Pick 4 pool has averaged more than $65,000 per night in 2008 and has produced payoffs in excess of $10,000 five times through the first 40 days of the meet.

The record Pick 4 payoff is $53,196.60, set on January 24, 2008. One winner took down the $63,200 pool that night.

The record Pick 4 pool is $268,176 on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, which had a $47,935 carryover heading in and paid out $398.10.
