Columbus, OH — In a story today on northjersey.com, John Brennan writes that Meadowlands Racetrack is still expected to resume live racing Jan. 6, even if the state of New Jersey can’t solve its impasse over a private takeover at Monmouth Park.
In the story, Tom Luchento, president of the New Jersey Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association, said that he has been promised by Thoroughbred industry officials that they would not object to the Meadowlands offering racing as well as simulcasting out-of-state Thoroughbred races.
