Meadows announces date changes for June stakes

from the Meadows

Meadow Lands, PA — Tom Leasure, director of racing at The Meadows, wants to give horsemen a reminder of some date changes from his original June stakes schedule. The changes were necessitated by The Meadows’ decision to switch off of Friday racing.

The first is in the Keystone Classic for 3-year-old trotting fillies, which has moved from Friday, June 15 to Thursday, June 14. Note that the draw date moves earlier as well, to Monday, June 11.

The next move affects the 3-year-old pacing filly class. Its Keystone Classic event, originally penciled in for Friday, June 22, is now set for Saturday, June 23, with a draw date of Wednesday, June 20.

The final June stakes change at The Meadows concerns the 2-year-old filly trot Sire Stakes, which moves from Friday, June 29, to Saturday, June 30, with a draw date of Wednesday, June 27.

Any questions should be directed to Tom Leasure at (724) 225-9300.
