East Rutherford, NJ — Melady’s Monet won the $75,000 Vincennes Invitational Trot Saturday (Aug. 6) at the Meadowlands. The 7-year-old gelding achieved a new lifetime standard by trotting his mile in 1:51.4 for driver Jason Bartlett.

Melady’s Monet captured the $75,000 Vincennes Invitational Trot and lowered his mark to 1:51.4.
This was the winner’s 39th career triumph and placed him over the $875,000 mark in total purse money earned.
John Campbell and the favorite, Musical Rhythm, finished second with Mambo Lindy coming in to show.
Last year’s Hambletonian winner, Pinkman, finished out of the money in sixth place, beaten by two lengths.
Meladay’s Monet received a three-hole trip in which he was locked in most of the mile until he was able to find racing room at the top of the stretch. The Kevin McDermott trainee went on to post a three-quarter of a length victory.
The winner is owned by Melady Enterprises LLC of Pompano Beach, FL and paid $15.40 to win.
