Columbus, OH — Michael A. J. Marchese, 70, born Dec. 19, 1951, in Brooklyn, N.Y., died July 4, 2022, at home with family in Madison Heights, Mich.

Mr. Marchese, along with his father and brothers, had a long history of racing Standardbreds all over the country. Though harness racing was his big love, he did own a couple small businesses before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Michael, Joseph, Denise, Vincent, CJ (Paige), Michelle (Bradley), Danielle, Keisha (Don), Jamie (Brian), and Walt Johnson; brothers, Jerry, John (Nicole), Christopher (Angie), and Peter; sisters, Donna, Susan (Derek), and Theresa (Joe); several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. and Garnetta (Ozment); and brothers, Emmanuel (Duke), Anthony (Clare), and Richard (Robin).

A private service was held in Madison Heights; internment and memorial service will be held at a later date.
