Milby wraps up driving title at Rosecroft

Fort Washington, MD — Frank Milby will wrap up another driving title on closing night Wednesday. Monday night (Dec. 16), he put the clamps on that title, winning five races on the night.

Milby’s run started in race six with Gloria Kinnamon’s homebred, Makin Money Fast ($5.00), trained by Brian Callahan and co-owned by Jessica Sutton.

In race seven, B A Rocket was allowed to go off at an astonishing, 7-1. Milby guided his charge into the passing lane and he exploded past Ideal Perfect Ten (John Wagner) and pacesetter, Rockin The Shades (Roger Plante Jr.), to win by a length and a half and return $16 to win. Greg Trotto trains and co-owns the son of Cam’s Rocket with Fred Sporrer, Jon Reedy and the VIP Internet Stable. It was Trotto’s second training win of the night as Jonathan Roberts won with Allie’s Cruiser who brushed past Officer Wholian on the backside and held off Redwood Again.

Milby went to the winner’s circle with Jet Aviation who cleared after the quarter pole and held off Arts Delight to give Callahan his second training win of the night.

Milby finished off the night with All Gold for Richard Malone Jr., and Disturbia for Jody Cahall and trainer Trevor Stafford.

Roberts finished a double with Capital Builder for his Dad “Bib” Roberts and trainer Megan Roberts-Tolson.

Timmy Offut brightened up the tote board with A Wild Impulse, A 15-1 winner, for Joseph Karrat and Hickory Aloha, a winner for his Dad Joe Offut.
