Mohawk to host Harness Handicapping Challenge

Campbellville, ON — Racing fans will have 10,000 additional reasons to be at Mohawk Racetrack on Saturday, July 21, as the Campbellville facility will play host to its first ever Harness Handicapping Challenge with a grand prize of C$10,000 being offered.

The rules are simple. Competitors must make mythical $2 win and $2 place wagers on a maximum of 10 different races from Mohawk and The Meadowlands full cards.

The person with the highest bankroll at the end of the Challenge will win the grand prize of C$10,000 and a spot in the 2007 Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship at Woodbine Racetrack on Saturday, November 3.

The contest is limited to 100 players and, if fully subscribed, there will be $15,000 in prize money. 100 percent of entry fees will be returned and prize money will be distributed as follows: 1st place-C$10,000, 2nd place-C$3,500 and 3rd place-C$1,500.

All HPI members who participate in the challenge will be entered into a separate draw for a chance to win one of three C$100 deposits to be made on Monday, July 23.

The entry fee into the Mohawk Harness Handicapping Challenge is C$150.
